[An evening discussing related population and digital]
A new form of regional management with digital technology
-Amaowa DAO: evolving relationships as a case study-
Ama Town in Shimane Prefecture is a remote island with a population of about 2,300 people located in the Oki Islands of Shimane Prefecture.

Ama Town in Shimane Prefecture was pushed to the brink of financial collapse over 20 years ago, but over the past 20 years it has continued to take on a variety of challenges with the support of many people both inside and outside the region. In recent years, it has been undertaking unique and original challenges such as the "Adult Island Study Abroad Program," the "Ama Town Official Ambassador System," and the "AmanowaDAO."

The number of people registered in the Ama Town Official Ambassador System, which began in earnest in 2024, has now exceeded 350.
The Ama Town Official Ambassador System, which allows people to experience the local "richness" and create new town development, regardless of whether they live in the area or not, is becoming a pillar of regional management.

Event Summary
This event will focus not only on digital technology itself, but also on the ideas behind the technology.
Technologies such as Web 3.0, DAO, and the Metaverse raise questions about the restructuring of relationships: "Who will be the main players in the community, and how will we create a society where people interact with each other?"
This question overlaps with the concept of relational population management that Ama Town is working on.

This event will explore the history and culture of Ama Town,
"The Ideas and Practices Behind Relational Population Management"
"Why aim for relational population management utilizing digital technology?"
We will delve deeper into these topics with a variety of guests.

We hope that this initiative, which started in Ama Town, will spread with empathy to many people and ambitious regions, and become a role model for regional revitalization.

\We look forward to seeing many of you who are interested!/
