Entitled "Pixel Landscapes," this exhibition explores possibilities that transcend the digital and physical realms by overlaying pixels onto famous paintings and advertisements that adorn a particular landscape and reconstructing it.

The works, entitled "Pixel Landscape," reconstruct the physical realm with digital pixelated expression by printing layers of pixelated expression on media such as posters and advertisements of famous paintings that have colored a certain landscape. The "pixel art" that has been incorporated into the expression method is a low-resolution "dot picture" expression that developed under the functional constraints of computers and games that became popular in the 1980s, and is attracting attention as an old yet new graphic expression method. We explore possibilities that go beyond the digital and physical realms through the landscape that appears when the pixelated expression of the physical posters that exist in everyday life is blurred.

The theme of this exhibition is how creators should face intellectual property and copyrighted works. With the spread of the Internet, ordinary people and companies, including amateur creators, post some kind of copyrighted work on social media every day and communicate on a daily basis. In addition, with the emergence of image generation AI and NFTs, we are now in an era where it is difficult to interpret copyright law based on previous concepts.

The "Pixel Landscape" series of works is a work in which the artist applies a pixelated process to advertising posters and posters of famous paintings that he has collected himself, offering a new interpretation of the original creations as landscapes seen through pixels, proposing one of the many possible ways of engaging with copyrighted works.
