▼About "Hikarie +PLANETS Shibuya Second Stage"
This project is run jointly by Tokyu Corporation, Shibuya Hikarie, and PLANETS (organized by Uno Tsunehiro). It all started with a presentation by critic Uno Tsunehiro at TEDxTokyo, held at Shibuya Hikarie. Tokyu wants more creative people and activities to gather in Shibuya, which is being reborn in 2020, and Uno Tsunehiro asks, "Will culture be born in the city of Tokyo after the Internet?" This seemingly contradictory collaboration has developed into the hypothesis that "if Shibuya is positioned as a new, real circuit for young people with a post-Internet sensibility, culture will be born from there." Because it is a place like Shibuya, creative people and activities should be able to gather and create updated content by sending out a new, unprecedented message of culture. This project aims to form a new cultural community by sending out information from Shibuya.
