Seafood from all over Japan will be gathered at Yoyogi Park for the "Fish Japan Festival 2025"!

Seafood gourmet and reconstruction support festival in Yoyogi

The SAKANA & JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025, bringing together seafood delicacies from all over Japan, will be held for four days from February 21st (Friday) to 24th (Monday, a substitute holiday) at Yoyogi Park Event Square and Zelkova Avenue.

The event, which started in 2019, is one of Japan's largest seafood gourmet festivals, with a cumulative total of over 2.1 million visitors, including sister events. At the venue, where seafood from all over Japan, such as fresh tuna, salmon, crab, oysters, and salmon roe, is lined up, you can enjoy a variety of menus such as seafood bowls, fisherman's meals, and local dishes.

A spectacular seafood show

At the venue, a "Bluefin Tuna Cutting Show" will be held every day, where you can enjoy fresh red meat and fatty tuna on the spot. In the "Eat and Support Japan's Delicacies" area, which features scallop dishes from Hokkaido and the Tohoku region, you can enjoy popular dishes such as sashimi and butter soy sauce grilled scallops. In addition, "Noto Oyster Gangan Yaki" from Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which supports the recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake, will also be available for the first time.

A food festival to support Fukushima's reconstruction efforts

The "Discover! Fukushima Fish Festival" will be held at the same time as part of the earthquake recovery efforts, showcasing local cuisine using Fukushima's "jobanmono" seafood and other specialty dishes. Another highlight is the "Fukushima Sweets Festival," which will use Fukushima's specialty products. Sweets made with kiwi and bananas created by local high school students will be sold, making this an event where people can rediscover the charms of Fukushima through food. Maple salmon and salted fish sauce ramen from Saigo Village, Fukushima Prefecture, and a giant paella for about 200 people using shrimp from Katsurao Village are also sure to be a hit.

The much talked about "Unagi no Naruse" opens its first store in Yoyogi

"Unagi no Naruse," which has rapidly grown into a chain with over 200 stores in just two years and is garnering attention, will be opening a store at this event. An authentic unadon (eel bowl) invented by a Kyushu store, "Exceptional Taste! Takachiho-no-mine," will be offered as a special event item. The "towering unadon" is a must-try dish that will leave a strong impression.

This outdoor festival will support recovery efforts through food and allow you to enjoy seafood cuisine from all over Japan. We hope you will enjoy the seasonal flavors to your heart's content with your family and friends.
