Towards a future where working women and mothers can enjoy themselves! Let's talk together about the power to empower all women | Community Terrace by Peatix

Theme: "International Women's Day"

Source: Peatix

[Vol.5 Theme: "International Women's Day"]

March 8th is International Women's Day. In Italy, it is known as Mimosa Day, and there is a culture of giving mimosa flowers to women as a sign of gratitude and respect. Why not take this special day as an opportunity to think together about creating spaces and managing communities that lead to women's empowerment?

This time on the Community Terrace, we will be welcoming guests Suzuki Natsumi from the "Mothers Update Community," and Nakamichi Kaoru, Kawaguchi Ai, and Sato Hiromi from "WOMANSHIP - Our Working Concerns Summit."

What kind of changes are occurring in women's lives and working styles? We would like to hear about their experiences and ideas regarding the questions and challenges they face when becoming a mother and continuing to work, and their approaches to solving them. In addition, we will hear about tips on running a community where people can share their thoughts and create a space where people can participate comfortably.

Let's get new ideas and inspiration from the talks with our guests, think together, and take a positive step forward! Anyone who is interested is welcome to join, regardless of gender. Even if you are not currently involved in community activities, you are welcome to join if you are interested in the theme or "Community Terrace"!

WOMANSHIP -Working Concerns Summit-

The "NewsPicks for WE" project by social economic media NewsPicks is promoting women's empowerment and activities aimed at achieving the government's goal of "achieving a 30% ratio of women in managerial and executive positions." "WE" stands for Women Empowerment, and refers to activities not just for women, but for "us."

As part of this effort, this program is a podcast for the next generation of female leaders that began in October 2022. We discuss major news and real concerns related to gender, careers, management, and managerial positions, empowering working women to take their first steps as leaders.

The MCs are these three people.
Nakamichi-chan (Kaoru Nakamichi), a mid-30s editor who has just returned from maternity leave and is worried about her career
・A lively woman in her 40s who is devoted to both work and childcare: Ai Kawaguchi, Editor-in-Chief of NewsPicks for WE
・Yumi Sato (Yumi Sato), a mother of three who changed her career from community manager to business planning and loves radio and comedy

[Community Terrace: A place for community organizers to interact]

When you join a community, you can meet many different people and have new experiences. However, when you become the organizer, you may worry about how to gather participants and how to manage the event, and you may be curious about what other organizers are doing. In such cases, what if there was a community where organizers could share knowledge and information with each other? You can find many more ways to solve problems and new ideas than if you were to think about it alone.

Why not join Peatix's "Community Terrace"? By sharing the common ground of hosting communities and events, we aim to create a place where you can meet people who share the same concerns and make new connections that make you think, "That's an interesting idea!" Let's liven up the diverse cultures and places that are our communities!

We will welcome a guest who is related to the theme each time. Even if you are not hosting a community or event, please feel free to come if you are interested in the theme. We will provide time to enjoy comfortable conversation over tea or alcohol. You are also welcome to participate just by listening! Even just listening will give you new perspectives and hints.

I would be happy if this becomes a place where you can gain energy and inspiration when you feel like "I want to start something new" or "I want some tips to change the way I do things now."
