An open symposium will be held at Daikanyama Hillside Plaza on Saturday, December 13th, for the next generation of artists and those aspiring to become art managers. The symposium will focus on the theme of "International Activities and Career Development for Artists" and will feature a discussion on survival strategies for artists who transcend divisions and borders.
The speakers include a number of exceptionally talented individuals, including Professor Takashi Ikegami of the University of Tokyo and a leading expert in artificial life research, Associate Professor at Kunitachi College of Music and computer musician Shintaro Imai, artist and founder of Parplume Yoichi Umezu, artist Hona Saito known for her slime mold works that span the boundaries of science and art, and artist, curator, and writer Rintaro Fuse. Moderated by Keiichiro Shibuya, the event is sure to spark lively discussion that transcends the boundaries of generations and genres.
On the day, we will also be announcing details of a training program for young creators to participate in our international co-production, which is slated for a European premiere in 2027.
