Stop by on your way to work! Tokyu Store, directly connected to Shibuya Station, has a wide range of deli options to meet your lunch needs

Tokyu Store Shibuya Sakura Stage will open on the second floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage, a commercial facility directly connected to Shibuya Station, on July 25th.

Currently, Shibuya Station only has high-end supermarkets such as Seijo Ishii Shibuya Tokyu Food Show Branch and Kinokuniya SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE Branch, which are convenient for purchasing specific products such as imported foods and organic products, but are not suitable for everyday use. In addition, in the surrounding area, there are Life Shibuya East Branch, Summit Store Daikanyama Hachiyamacho Branch, and Peacock Store Ebisu Minami Branch, but even the closest Life is quite far from the station. Before the reconstruction of Tokyu Plaza, there was a fresh food store called Marusen Shibuya Market on the first basement floor, which was convenient for people living around the station, but it closed in 2015 due to redevelopment work. Since then, there has been no supermarket near Shibuya Station for a long time.

The West Exit Deck (2nd floor) is directly connected to the Tokyu Store inside Shibuya Sakura Stage. It can also be accessed from the West Exit of JR Shibuya Station (1st floor) and the JR Shinminami ticket gate (3rd floor).

This time, Tokyu Store will open on the same floor as the West Exit Deck (2nd floor) that connects Shibuya Station with Shibuya Fukuras and Shibuya Sakura Stage. It will be extremely convenient as you can naturally access the supermarket on your way to work or on the move. The sales floor area is 874 square meters (264 tsubo), which is small compared to normal stores, but it is good news that people who live and work in Shibuya have been waiting for. With an awareness of the area being frequented by workers and young single people, the store will mainly handle products that meet the demand for breakfast and lunch, as well as a wide selection of products such as "small portions" that can be used up or eaten in one go, "ready-to-eat/microwave-ready products" that do not require cooking, sweets and side dishes.

Aimed at workers and single people, Tokyu Store Shibuya Sakura Stage has a wide selection of deli items in its corner.

Of particular interest is the Delica corner, which is located in the best position in the store.

The time each bento was made is displayed, and the bento is served fresh.

The "Thick-Cut Silver Salmon with Saikyo Grilled Seaweed Bento" (688 yen) is prepared at Shibuya Sakura Stage, which is also listed as the manufacturer on the label.

The store will also be selling freshly made products prepared in the kitchen in the basement of Shibuya Sakura Stage, including teppanyaki, bento boxes, sushi, rice bowls, salads, and sweets from the company's original "RICH DELI" series.

Left: "Chicken with black vinegar bento" (498 yen), Right: "Japanese-style hamburger bento with domestic Wagyu beef" (598 yen)

The prices are also attractive, with dishes such as the "Kansai-style okonomiyaki and teppan-fried yakisoba" (398 yen), "chicken with black vinegar bento" (498 yen), "Japanese-style hamburger bento with domestic Japanese beef" (598 yen), and "thick-sliced silver salmon saikyo-yaki nori bento" (688 yen) all being available for around 500 yen. With fewer and fewer restaurants offering lunches under 1000 yen around Shibuya Station, the low prices of these bentos are sure to make them popular after the store opens. As it is directly connected to the station, it is also easy to make a routine of buying a bento at Tokyu Store on your morning commute before heading to work.

The store offers a wide selection of pre-cut vegetables and small, individually packaged ingredients, with the theme "no cutting board needed."

"FROZEN" corner with frozen foods

However, unlike suburban stores, this store does not have the space to process and cook meat and fresh fish, so it mainly sells small, individually packaged items. Instead, it focuses on pre-cut vegetables, frozen foods, and small-sized snacks with the theme of "no cutting board needed" for single people. It also has a full selection of liquor, including Hachiko-labeled wine brewed at the "ultra-urban" winery in Shibuya's Miyashita Park, and Shibuya-inspired beer "Shibu-nama." When you're late on your way home from work or working overtime, you can do a quick shop here and rush home.

This supermarket is an essential choice for workers in the areas of Shibuya 3-chome, Dogenzaka 1-chome, Sakuragaoka-cho and Nanpeidai.

Business hours are 9:00-22:00 (weekdays), 9:00-21:00 (Saturdays and Sundays). Open all year round.
