[PR Networking Event] Friday, August 23rd, a mini lecture on the theme of "Making PR allies" - "How can we make the most of generative AI as a strategic partner for PR?" / an opinion exchange event on "Tips for PR to get the company involved"
The Media and Public Relations Study Group's August social gathering will feature a mini lecture and opinion exchange session on the same theme as was planned for the June social gathering.
Use generation AI
Are you making effective use of generative AI in your public relations work?
In the first half of the mini lecture, Marie Minami from Rejoui Inc., a company that provides consulting services in the fields of AI and data science, will be the lecturer. Participants will learn the basics of generative AI, which is a hot topic these days, and consider how it can be used in public relations work.
"I don't know how to use it"
"It's quicker to do it yourself"
Such voices reach our organization.
There are also reports that the company is not fully utilizing its potential.
If we, the users, are aware of the risks and can incorporate them into our daily work, they can actually become powerful partners.
One company was able to reduce the time it took to create magazine articles from 1,000 hours a month to 60 hours using generative AI, resulting in incredible efficiency gains.
AI excels at tasks that are time-consuming and tedious for humans, such as creating templates for PR projects, designing questions for research releases, and writing summaries of a company's business.
Can "emotion" be conveyed to AI?
Is it true that you can write a full-length novel in an instant?
In this lecture, you will learn about the quirks and areas of expertise of generative AI, how to use it to your advantage, and how to dramatically change your work from tomorrow.
Techniques for getting the whole company involved
In the second half of the discussion session, we will exchange ideas on practical communication to get the cooperation of key people in the company by involving them in PR activities, with the theme of "Making allies within the company". We hear many concerns from PR staff, such as "The company newsletter is not read very often" and "The management is too busy to get in touch with us". Why not learn the techniques to increase the number of people who understand among PR members who have the same concerns and increase the number of allies for PR?
*The June social gathering has been postponed due to a sudden illness among the planners and organizers.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to everyone who had applied or made plans to attend.
I'm sorry.
The August social gathering will be held on the same theme.
We would be very grateful if you could participate.
We kindly ask for your kind understanding.

[About the Media and Public Relations Research Group]
This is a non-profit, social and study group run independently by media and public relations personnel.
"Even when I hear something interesting at a lecture, I never really absorb it, I forget it within a few days, and I can't apply it to my work."
Members of the Media and Public Relations Research Group have had such bitter experiences.
So I thought about how I could use the PR techniques I had learned from books and other sources in my work from tomorrow onwards.
We actually put it into practice in our respective workplaces, and we talked about what worked, what didn't, and what seemed like it would work but we just couldn't find a solution.
We have built up our public relations skills through trial and error, facing difficulties in gaining understanding from superiors, colleagues, and other departments.
The networking events are a place to exchange what you have learned through trial and error, to exchange trend information, to share everyday worries, and to find fun friends.
The organization began its activities in 2015 and is notable for having members not only public relations personnel but also those working in the media.
You will not only learn about PR from a public relations perspective, such as how to communicate and how to build connections, but also from the perspective of public relations from the media.
In addition to monthly social gatherings, we also hold working group activities once a week to consider communication and PR strategies.
