Hands Shibuya store: Walking tour and talk event

"Lifestyle Editorial Guidebook" launched to commemorate 50th anniversary

As part of Hands' new project "Lifestyle Editorial Encyclopedia," which marks the 50th anniversary of the company's founding in 2026, the Shibuya Hands store will host "Hands Walk," a themed guided tour of the Shibuya area, and "Hands Talk," a deep dive into the city's objects and culture, in October.

The "Lifestyle Editing Encyclopedia" is an attempt to provide an encounter with things and experiences that will add color to your life by superimposing the shopping experience of the discovery and excitement you feel when opening an encyclopedia as a child. The Shibuya store will be rebranded as a "visiting encyclopedia" that will allow customers to take home the feeling of editing their daily lives in a new way.

The city walking project "Hands Walk" invites experts from various fields as guides to conduct fieldwork that explores the relationship between daily life and urban culture. For the "Disaster Prevention" edition on October 19th, the guides will be two members of CAMMOC, a unit that disseminates ideas for incorporating disaster prevention into everyday life.

Also on the 26th, in the "Heisei Retro" edition, Yamashita Mero, a proponent of "Heisei Retro," will lead a walking tour of the city introducing architecture and culture from the bubble era to the early Heisei period.
