Autumn 2025: STEAM Experience Festival for Parents and Children in Shibuya
Experience "math," "science," "social studies" and "creativity" together!

A math event for parents and children to enjoy will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM! *Please purchase tickets for the number of parents and children participating!
*Adults, including those in the education field, can also participate as participants! Special tickets are available. Please join us and put yourself in the child's shoes!
A "STEAM Education Event" will be held to celebrate Culture Day!
Experience "math," "science," "social studies" and "creativity" together!
In "Mathematics," we will be "Making a mysterious toy that will make you love shapes even more."
In "Science" class, we will be "Making planet art that lets you experience the universe more."
In "Social Studies," students will experience "making their own national flags and creating their own world map!"
You won't believe this is a two-hour course; we'll be providing you with plenty of content that you can continue working on at home!
We offer exciting learning experiences that will not only help you develop an interest in areas you've always had, but will also help you develop an interest in areas you've never had an interest in before. Please join us!

Each instructor will deliver surefire tips that will make you love and become better at their field!
[Mathematics x Toy Making] Teacher: Asuki Yokoyama
Learn about the fascinating mathematical properties hidden within this toy as you make your own "Hexagonal Turning Toy," which changes patterns when you flip it over!
It's a simple toy, but you can actually make a variety of different hexagonal patterns with it. Why not try making lots of them!
[Science x Planet Art Making] Teacher: Ms. Numa Rinka (Numa-chan)
We will talk about what planets are and use familiar objects to experience the difference in size of planets!
You will be able to visualize the size of the universe, which is so large that it is difficult to imagine!
[Social Studies x National Flags & World Map Making] Teacher: Kazuyoshi Muramatsu
Let's have fun learning about the flags of the world! Learn about the origins of flags and the locations of countries around the world.
We will have fun learning about it through coloring and crafts. Let's put it on a world map!
Each teacher will give a lecture of about 30 minutes, after which participants will be asked to choose a topic they would like to delve deeper into and work on it for as long as they have time.
You can also take home materials for topics that you didn't delve into in depth during the course, so you can continue working on them at home!

Time: 13:00-15:00 *Entry is possible 15 minutes before the event
Participation fee: 5,500 yen per parent-child pair (tax and teaching materials included) Up to 1 child and 2 parents
For the second or more children, an additional 2,200 yen (tax included) per child
*Example: For two children and two parents, please purchase tickets for 5,500 yen + 2,200 yen.
*If only one adult is participating, please purchase an "Adult Only Participation Ticket."
Capacity: Up to 25 parent-child pairs (first come, first served)

Target age: 2nd to 6th grade elementary school students and their parents *Adults only can also participate
*Tickets do not need to be purchased for infants, young children, and other children who will not be participating in the content of the course, but please indicate in the question section of your application that they will be attending.
*Students below the target grade level can also participate. However, the pace of the course is intended for second grade elementary school students and above, so in some cases it may seem too fast. In that case, we ask for parental support as appropriate.

About the lecturer on the day
Asuki Yokoyama (Asuki Yokoyama/Asuki Sensei)
Representative of Math Channel Inc. Since his university days, he has worked as a "Math Big Brother" to spread the joy of mathematics to a wide range of people, regardless of age or gender. Aiming to create as many opportunities as possible to come into contact with mathematics in every 24-hour period, he continues to think up and create mathematics content that can be used in schools, after-school learning spaces, toys and books at home, and moments of relaxation and play. His books include "Math that Humanities Students Can Get Addicted To" (Seishun Publishing) and "Fun Fermi Estimation for 10-Year-Olds and Up" (Kumon Publishing). His television appearances include NHK Educational TV's "Master Math in 3 Months." He completed his graduate studies in applied mathematics at Waseda University.
Norika Numa (Numa-chan)
Graduated from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo. He works as a "math designer" who designs familiar objects using mathematics. Utilizing his love of mathematics and experience in space research, he conducts numerous courses nationwide and online to teach mathematics and the universe to children and adults in a fun and easy-to-understand way. He is the editor-in-chief of the online media "math channel magazine." His books include "Understanding Turtle and Crane Math with Lines, Squares, and Tables" (Nitto Shoin Honsha) and "Math Quiz You'll Want to Ask People Right Away" (Bunkyosha).
Kazuyoshi Muramatsu
Tokyo Cartographic Co., Ltd., Map and Geography Entertainment Producer, Disaster Prevention Specialist, Assistant Surveyor
I am involved in an activity called "Directing Maps" that aims to make maps more familiar and fun. I hope to create a space where people can discover the fun of geography and maps while having fun by holding map classes, workshops, and events that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. I hope to be able to deliver the joy of learning about local areas and the world through maps through events that the whole family can enjoy.
About math channel
This is an arithmetic and mathematics content planning and production group whose philosophy is to "bring arithmetic and mathematics closer to people through experience." The group is represented and supervised by Yokoyama Asuki, also known as "Math Brother," who has been spreading the joy of arithmetic and mathematics for about 10 years. By developing arithmetic content that takes a different approach and deals with content different from that offered at schools or cram schools, the group is providing people all over the country with unprecedented opportunities for "learning new arithmetic and mathematics."
