We will delve into mushroom literature, mushroom photography, mushroom picture books, mushroom art, and new mushroom materials.
[Mushroom Literature]
Presenter: Kotaro Iizawa
Iizawa, who has compiled mushroom literature from many literary works, will explain and introduce mushrooms that grow in literature, focusing on his new book "Miyazawa Kenji Mushroom Literature Collection," which will be released in October this year.
[Mushroom photo]
Presenter: Fumihiko Arai
This beautiful slideshow of photographs allows you to experience a simulated mushroom tour by Arai, who works as a nature guide in Akan, eastern Hokkaido, and also works as a photographer of mushrooms and slime molds.
[Mushroom Picture Book]
Presenters: Takashi Shiramizu and Takahiro Saito
"The Strange and Mysterious World of Fungi" is a picture book that uses beautiful illustrations to clearly explain the ecology and role of fungi.
We take a look behind the scenes at how the original book by a world-renowned fungal ecologist was published in Japanese.
[Mushroom art]
Presenters: Mayumi Ikeda and Kinoko Toyoda
This year marks the year of the World Expo, and we will be looking at Emile Gallé, who also attracted attention through the expo.
Mayumi Ikeda, chief curator at the Kitazawa Museum of Art, which exhibits many representative works of Art Nouveau, will provide commentary, and Kinoko Toyoda will discuss why Gallé chose the infested mushroom as his motif.
