The essence of the appeal of calligraphy lies in lines and space. Whether it is based on the shape of letters or abstract, the essence is the same. The beauty of lines is the DNA of Eastern art, and it is also the blood vessels of the body of calligraphy and painting.

What is the essence of calligraphy? Regardless of whether or not there are letters, the fact remains that lines are the lifeline of calligraphy. Lines create a sense of space. I have come to create contemporary works that specialize in the expression of lines, capturing the world of various lines from multiple angles.
Contemporary means to claim modernity, but I believe that the essence and principles of universal beauty run through from the past to the present. I believe that the quest for timeless essences and principles that transcend trendy modes of expression, styles, and methodologies will open up new horizons for calligraphy. This is not about calligraphy approaching art, but also about art approaching calligraphy.

This exhibition is like an orchestral piece. I would be happy if you could interpret it as each of us playing an instrument that plays our own line. We will present a wide-angle collection of modern calligraphy works woven with ancient warp threads and modern weft threads as LINE = [Calligraphy]. I would be delighted if you could view it as a visual symphony.
