I will be attending the "Daily Update" exhibition at the Shibuya Koen-dori Gallery in Tokyo.

<Overview>
Society has begun to move forward, interacting with people, gathering, and moving again, as if we had returned to our normal daily lives before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, just as a ray of hope was beginning to appear, a new disaster occurred, leaving a major mark on our memories. Whenever we encounter such an event, we feel the preciousness and transience of everyday life, and are reminded that past memories are pushed deep inside, and new memories of experiences are layered on top of them instead. To a greater or lesser extent, this may be a repetition of everyday life. In this exhibition, we consider the repetition of everyday life through the works of six artists who evoke everyday life from various perspectives, such as overlooked scenes and experiences, familiar words, collaborations with someone somewhere, records of important memories and events of the day, and familiar scenery that gives us peace of mind. By coming into contact with the daily lives of others, as seen in each work, the usual scenery that we saw just a moment ago will take on new value, enriching our daily lives. People and people, and people and society, who have been separated for various reasons, are trying to reconnect with the help of those who reach out to them. Our daily activities cannot be discussed separately from our relationship with society, and we can say that we have some kind of mutual influence. Through artworks that somehow give the impression of the presence of others, we attempt to think about the relationship between people and other people, and people and society in our daily lives, and to reexamine the everyday from a new perspective.
