The first talk event, "NEXTOURISM Innovation Animal Path - Discovering New Tourism Town Development Together," hosted by the Japan Regional Internationalization Promotion Organization (general incorporated association), has been scheduled.
At this event, we will welcome two guests, Metacode CEO Tomoyasu Hirano and Digity Minimi CEO Naozumi Takenaka, who are key figures in the Science Village Initiative (SVI) of Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is attracting attention as a new form of private-sector-led urban development, to talk about "Generative AI and urban development."
In June 2024, a town development company called "Itoshima Co., Ltd." was established in Itoshima. The company's representative is Tomoyasu Hirano, who moved to Itoshima and is working on town development together with the local community. The company announced the opening of the "SVI Town Development School," which utilizes a generative AI platform. The announcement stated that generative AI will be actively used in town development.
The situation surrounding generative AI is evolving at an unimaginable speed, and it is becoming increasingly clear that in the not-too-distant future, it will become an indispensable part of our daily lives. Can generative AI be used to create attractive cities and regions? Can it help create a sustainable future for regions? These are important topics that need to be discussed right now.
This event is limited to our members, but this time we will open seats to visitors as well. If you would like to attend, please apply here. Please note that the number of seats is limited, so please apply early. We look forward to your participation.
About the Innovation Kemono Michi series
"Innovation Animal Trails" is a concept likened to the "animal trails" that wild animals instinctively create. They are not intentionally designed by someone, but represent new paths that gradually form in accordance with people's natural behavior and desires. Innovative ideas that are not bound by existing frameworks grow naturally, like living things, and eventually take root deeply in society. NEXTOURISM believes that this kind of organic and sustainable innovation is essential for modern tourism and urban development.
