Let's all use our imaginations and draw our own original yokai!
Bunkamura launched the "BiG-i x Bunkamura Art Project" together with Big-I, an international center for communication with people with disabilities, with the aim of "facilitating interaction between people with and without disabilities through art, and sharing excitement and joy."
The first exhibition of award-winning and selected works will be held at Bunkamura Gallery 8/ from Friday, August 30th to Monday, September 9th. The exhibition called for submissions of artworks created by people with disabilities, and from the 1,419 works submitted from Japan and abroad, a jury of four active members from various fields selected 81 works that radiate strong and beautiful energy.
We will be inviting judge Hiroaki Nakatsugawa to act as facilitator and hold a workshop!
