Takashi Hirano, who works as an editor for the Japanese edition of the Ukrainian state-run news agency, published his book "The Russia-Ukraine War as seen from Kyiv: Living in Everyday Life with War" (Seikaisha) in November 2024.
To celebrate the release of the new book, Mr. Hirano, who lives in Kyiv, will return to Japan from Ukraine to talk about the unknown inner workings of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Also appearing as a guest was Yu Koizumi, an expert on Russian military and security policy and a recommender of this book.
From the reality of "daily life with war" in Kyiv, to the latest analysis of the war situation and future prospects based on local information and expert knowledge, to trend information on Ukraine where Japanese culture is becoming more and more popular, we will be sharing all the first-class information about Ukraine that you can't hear anywhere else.

◆About the autograph session
On the day of the event, we will be selling "The Russia-Ukraine War as Seen in Kyiv: Living Everyday with War" (Seikaisha Shinsho) and "Information Analysis Power" (Shodensha), and we will also be holding a signing session with both Hirano Takashi and Koizumi Yu. We will sign both those who purchase at the venue on the day and those who bring their existing copies with them.
