2025-04-16
The practical event "Future Design and AI - Capture the changing world and imagine/create tomorrow's business" will be held at SHIBUYA QWS on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
This event will explore from multiple angles the potential for social and corporate transformation brought about by co-creation with AI, against the backdrop of the evolution of generative AI. It will consist of keynote speeches, sessions, and workshops, and will discuss how value can be created in the age of AI.

The keynote speakers will be Satoshi Kurihara, professor at Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology and president of the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence, and Yukiko Yamaguchi, SVP and CMO of Panasonic Connect, in charge of promoting DEI and promoting culture and mindset reform. Kurihara is a leading expert who has been promoting research into AI that coexists with humans for many years, and will give a lecture on the autonomy of AI and the potential for human collaboration. Yamaguchi has a track record of significantly improving business efficiency by introducing generative AI company-wide, and will introduce the company's organizational reform and culture transformation efforts.
In the session section, practitioners from various fields will take to the stage with themes such as "UX," "learning," "co-creation," and "urban design." They will discuss the ingenuity of introducing AI technology into the field and its impact. Participants will be able to experience how to use AI not just as a tool, but as a foundation for decision-making and creativity.
The workshop will feature experiential programs based on three themes: "future insight," "UX scenarios," and "information design." It will be possible to learn practical methods for envisioning the future while co-creating with AI. In addition, an open conference called the "AI Social Design Conference" will be held to discuss how AI can intervene in social issues.
The event inherits the ideas of the conference "Design for Transformation" held by Loftwork in 2023, but is structured in an advanced way with the theme of co-creation with the new technology of generative AI. The changes brought about by the evolution of AI are affecting not only business, but also the reorganization of values and structures of society as a whole. It will be a place where companies, local governments, educational institutions, and others can explore how to position AI and what kind of future they can envision through co-creation.
Participation is available both in person and online, and all programs held at SHIBUYA QWS can be attended on-site. Attendees can choose to experience either the workshops or the open conferences.
As technological innovation and social change accelerate, "Future Design and AI" will be a day that will inspire participants to rethink AI as a "partner in co-creation" and bring about change in their own organizations and businesses.
