Event Features
The event featured speakers Kazuhide Hashida, an angel investor with a track record of over 70 investments, and Shigeru Urushibara, who founded ULSYSTEMS in 2000 and took the company public in 2006, and is now the CEO of a listed company that supports many startups.

Hashida received investment from Urushibara and later became an angel investor, supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. This talk session between the two truly represents "passing the baton of challenge."

From an investor's perspective, these two experienced investors will share their real-life insights on what to be careful of when investing in venture capital, as well as the fun and challenges of investing.

Speakers
Mr. Shigeru Urushibara
Chairman of the Board of Directors, ULS Consulting Co., Ltd.

An engineer who runs a listed company and falls asleep every night writing code. He loves large-scale architecture, cloud design, generative AI, and ultra-high-speed processing. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo and was a visiting researcher at Stanford University's Computer Systems Laboratory for two years from 1989. He founded ULSystems (now ULS Consulting) in 2000, which went public in 2006. He currently serves as a director for several companies, including the listed ULS Group. He also serves as the MITOU Advanced Project Manager at the Information-Technology Promotion Agency, Japan, and as a founding director of Generative AI Japan, a general incorporated association. He has a deep respect for cutting-edge technology and startups.

Mr. Kazuhide Hashida
OASIS FUND Representative Partner

Born in Tokyo in 1983. Graduated from Kaisei High School in 2002. Graduated from Tokyo University of Science in 2007. After working at NTT Data and Ururu, he founded Peraichi in 2014 and became its representative director. He retired from all positions in April 2023. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as an angel investor, investing in 77 companies. In April 2024, he opened SHIBUYA STARTUP OASIS, a community space available free of charge to those involved in startups. In December 2024, he established OASIS FUND, a seed venture capital firm supported by founders.

Ari Tomita
Representative Director of WORKPARK Co., Ltd.

After graduating from Kobe University, he worked in recruitment support at Intelligence. He established the Startup Strategy Department at Salesforce.com, and joined SmartRound in 2019, where he serves as a director. With the aim of creating a new system that connects social issues with business, he founded WORKPARK Inc. and became its representative director. In 2025, he was appointed as a visiting entrepreneur by Nagoya City.
