This event will enable projects that have completed the GARAGE Program, an acceleration program that promotes projects by young leaders who will shape the next 100 years, to widely share the "experiments for the future" that they have been working on through trial and error.

There will also be a talk by a senior project leader who has expanded and grown their project after taking on the challenge of 100BANCH.

This time, Junya Asai (CEO of Academimic LLC), a member of the 59th GARAGE Program program's "Academimic," which continues to create new output by turning science and research into works of art and creativity, and reaching out to more people, will act as navigator, and projects that have completed the GARAGE Program will report on their activities.

Junya Asai | Representative Director, Academimic LLC

He studied animal behavior at Osaka City University and neuroscience at Osaka University Graduate School. He received his Master's in Science. He has researched spatial cognition functions such as fish's mirror recognition of themselves and human sound source localization. After joining an advertising agency, he was involved in integrated communications, responsible for everything from corporate branding to content production. In parallel with his work, he has produced works such as expressing genes on cassette tapes and novels linked to science. He has received awards such as the WIRED Creative Hack Award, the NOVUS Future Design Award, and the ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS in the Marketing Effectiveness category.

Asai moved into 100BANCH in June 2022. He began working on producing videos and novels in order to create new outputs in science and research. Even after graduating from 100BANCH, he has continued to collaborate with various researchers on the production of works, exhibiting at facilities such as DIG SHIBUYA and Shibuya Ward Miyashita Park, and has won various awards.
