Yoyogi Park's annual summer Taiwan Festival has this year's theme "Night Market"
Let's all enjoy Taiwan's summer night markets together!
2024-06-13
"Taiwan Festa 2024", an outdoor event promoting the charms of Taiwan, will be held at Yoyogi Park Event Square for three days on July 26th (Fri), 27th (Sat), and 28th (Sun). The event is organized by the Taiwan Festa Executive Committee (co-organized by the Japan Chinese Businessmen's Association).
The event, which began in 2016, is held every year with the aim of making Taiwan more accessible to people through its food, culture, tourism and industry, and to promote further exchange and development between Japan and Taiwan. Although it was forced to be canceled for a time due to the impact of the spread of COVID-19, it was revived in 2022 and is becoming established as an annual event that brightens up the summer.
This year's Taiwan Festa will start in the afternoon for the first time. With the theme of Taiwan's "night market," the festival will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. As darkness falls in the evening, countless red lanterns light up, giving you the feeling of a Taiwanese night market. In addition, at the lively food stalls, you can enjoy eating Taiwan's popular staple foods such as the familiar Lu Rou Fan, Xiao Long Bao, and Daikon Mochi.
On the main stage, PEDRO, a project featuring Aina the End of BiSH, the band that sadly disbanded in 2023, as the bass vocalist, will perform. In addition, COLLAVOICE, who are actively active in Taiwan, including street performances and radio appearances, will perform live.
Why not experience an authentic Taiwanese night market at Yoyogi Park in the summer?
