The Shibuya Awa Odori 2025 will be held in the Sakuragaoka area of Shibuya on Monday, November 3rd (national holiday).

Last year, "Shibuya Awa Odori powered by Sansan," held to commemorate the full-scale opening of Shibuya Sakura Stage, attracted approximately 45,000 people and attracted a lot of attention from both inside and outside the area. Following its success this year, an official executive committee has been established, led by the Shibuya Ekimae Kyoeikai, with the aim of establishing the event as an annual autumn event rooted in the local community.

The venue will be centered around Sakurazaka, and will cover the Sakuragaoka area, including Shibuya Sakura Stage and the National Route 246 crossing deck. On the day, Sakurazaka will be closed to traffic and a performance venue will be set up. In addition to famous invited groups from Tokushima City, the home of Awa Odori, such as the Awa Odori Promotion Association Selected Group, Tokyo's Koenji Association Joint Group, and Saitama's Minami Koshigaya Awa Odori Promotion Association Joint Group, the local Shibuya Awa Odori group will also be joining in, and a total of several hundred dancers will be putting on spectacular performances.

The opening ceremony will take place at 12:30pm at the "BLOOM GATE" event space on the third floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage. Performances will begin at 1:30pm on Sakurazaka, with performances taking place at various venues within Sakura Stage and on the National Route 246 deck (SHIBUYA STREAM to the plaza in front of SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE). Admission is free.
