What is the Study Abroad Journal Study Abroad Fair?
Ryugaku Journal's "World Study Abroad Fair," held every spring and fall, originated in 1990 when it was first held in collaboration with the Canadian Embassy. It later expanded to include study abroad fairs for each country, including New Zealand, the UK/Ireland, the US, and Australia, and in 2000 it was renamed the "World Study Abroad Fair," bringing together language schools, colleges, and universities from each country. For a long time, it has provided a place for people considering studying abroad to gather real information.
While many people are giving up on studying abroad due to the cost, caused by the effects of rising global prices and the continuing depreciation of the yen, the Study Abroad Fair held in April last year attracted a total of 1,770 visitors across three venues. By demographic, high school students were the most common, accounting for 40% of the total when junior and senior high school students were included, indicating the high level of interest in studying abroad among young people. By place of residence, in addition to major metropolitan areas such as Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, and Osaka, we also had visitors from faraway regions, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
What you can do at the fair
●You can talk directly with school representatives from various Asian countries as well as from English-speaking countries in Europe and the United States!
●You can hear about everything from the basics of studying abroad to personal experiences at seminars based on age and topic
●You can ask questions to professional study abroad counselors!
This will help you design a study abroad plan that suits your goals and desires.
At the venue, there will be a corner where you can hear about the experiences of senior international students and information about life abroad, as well as a corner introducing English tests and travel necessities that will help you prepare for studying abroad. In addition, there will be many benefits for participating, such as discounts on study abroad fees only available on the day.
Please come along with your friends and family and use this site to gather information to make your study abroad plans a reality!
