The 3rd Annual "Like Full Color!" Kitakata Marugoto Festival

The "Like Full Color! Kitakata Marugoto Festival," which will promote the charms of Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture, will be held on Friday, February 13th at Tokyo Culture Culture in Shibuya.

Kitakata City is famous for its popular "Kitakata Ramen," one of Japan's three great ramen dishes, but its appeal extends beyond ramen. It is also known as a "soba town," ranking fourth in the country in terms of soba cultivation area (2021), and is blessed with a rich food culture, with "Yamato Soba" certified as a "100-Year Food" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2022 and "Shiokawa Chicken Motsu" certified as a "100-Year Food" in 2023. (In 2021, "Kitakata Ramen" was also certified as a "100-Year Food.")

In addition, the sake produced by the city's 11 breweries has been designated a "GI" (Geographical Indication), a national designation protecting local specialties as regional brands. The city is known for its delicious, unique sake, with a soft, rounded, mellow flavor and fruity aroma.

The "Like Full Color! Kitakata Marugoto Festival" is an event where you can fully enjoy and savor the charm of Kitakata city's cuisine.
