Nakamura Gen's Super Aquarium Night 2026 vol. 51, The Return of Super Aquarium Night, is scheduled to be held on June 21st!

This is Terry Ueda. It's been exactly one year since "Nakamura Hajime's Super Aquarium Night," which had been running for 17 years, ended its regular run after its 50th performance last year. At the final show, Mr. Nakamura kept repeating "I'll be back! I'll be back!" while doing a not-so-great impression of the Terminator...

Nakamura: What do you mean it doesn't look like me! I'm back, so you should be at least a little happy! Apparently, the Terminator's "I'll be back" means something like "we'll definitely meet again." For me, it was an expression of my feeling that "I definitely want to meet you." Terry: I'm happy! I'm also really looking forward to meeting the customers who will be coming to Super Water Night. But why did you choose to do "I'll be back" at this time of year?

Nakamura: That's it! The sixth revised edition of "Nakamura Hajime's National Aquarium Guide," which I've been writing as my life's work for over 20 years, will be published in June. This event is to commemorate that. Terry: Now that you mention it, I was thinking you've been going out to aquariums all over the country quite often since last year.

Nakamura: I'm just going to have some fun! Well, it's not work, but...it's just a hobby!
But, you know, the aquarium has changed so much in the last seven years. I have so much I want to talk about.
Terry: I see, I can tell from your tone. It's going to be full of dangerous talk that's typical of Nakamura (laughs). It's a one-on-one showdown with Nakamura in both the first and second halves, so everyone please come and be swept away by Nakamura's unique style after so long.
