About QWS×INERTIA
SHIBUYA QWS, a co-creation facility located on the 15th floor SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE that opened on November 1, 2019, and INERTIA Inc., a tenant in the adjacent area of SHIBUYA QWS, will host talk sessions with a diverse range of speakers active at the forefront of various fields, with a focus on art and science. The talk sessions will follow themes from a variety of fields, and sometimes take detours from the theme, and speakers will share their own experiences and perspectives. The program is intended to generate new "questions" and "seeds of possibility."

[Event content]
This QWS×INERTIA Talk will welcome one of Japan's leading business leaders, Mr. Fumiaki Koizumi, Representative Director and President of Mercari, Inc. and Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd. We will hold a free-talk style program where we will look back on Mr. Koizumi's activities to date, hear how he has thought and acted in various situations, and talk about his vision for the future.

Mr. Fumiaki Koizumi

President of Mercari, Inc.
President and CEO, Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd.

After graduating from Waseda University in 2003, he joined Daiwa Securities SMBC Co., Ltd. (now Daiwa Securities Co., Ltd.).
At the Investment Banking Division, he was mainly responsible for supporting Internet companies with their IPOs, and helped realize numerous IPOs, including for Mixi and DeNA.
In December 2006, he joined Mixi, Inc., where he served as Director of the President's Office and General Manager of the Business Management Division, before becoming Executive Director and CFO in June 2008.
In June 2012, he retired from his position as director of the company and supported the management of startup companies, including Akatsuki, FreakOut, and Raksul, as an outside director and auditor. In December 2013, he joined Mercari, Inc., and became a director in March 2014.
In 2017, he became President and COO, and in 2019, he became President.
In August 2019, he became the President and Representative Director of Kashima Antlers FC Co., Ltd.
In March 2022, he became a director of the Japan Professional Football League (J.League), a public interest incorporated association.

Yukio Nomura (Executive Director of SHIBUYA QWS)

In 2001, he joined Tokyu Corporation, where he was in charge of finance in the Finance Department. In 2010, he was seconded to Tokyu Department Stores, where he was also in charge of finance. In 2014, he returned to work in the Urban Development Business Headquarters Shibuya Development Business Department, where he was in charge of planning and development as the project manager for SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE. In 2018, he was seconded to SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE Corporation, where he continues to be in charge of the current project. With Shibuya Q's, he aims to create new social value from the unique community of Shibuya.
