The social and cultural design festival "SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2024 (hereinafter SIW)" will be held from Friday, October 18th to Sunday, November 10th.

We have developed programs with a wide variety of companies, creators, and artists, showcasing new business ideas for a better society, the future potential of cities discovered through music and art, the emergence of new cultures on the streets, future life as revealed by technology, and messages that will inspire the next era.

We will be holding the opening session and keynote session of SIW 2024!

Program Highlights

⚫︎ November 4th 16:30-16:45: Opening Session

SIW Executive Producers Nagata Arata and Kanayama Jungo will hold a talk session with Shibuya Ward Mayor Hasebe Ken about the goals of SIW2024.

⚫︎ November 4th 16:45-18:15: SIW IMPACT Award Ceremony & Talk Session

An award ceremony and talk session was held for the "SIW IMPACT" awards, which nominate and honor actions and ideas that lead to a better future.

The "GOOD SOLUTION" and "GOOD INNOVATOR" categories are awarded to SIW Fellows (https://social-innovation-week-shibuya.jp/) will be the nominees. "SHIBUYA GOOD ACTION" is currently accepting entries.

⚫︎November 4th 18:15-19:00: Keynote Session

We will discuss how design and entertainment can lead society. Society is changing and evolving in complex ways, and at the same time, global issues are becoming apparent. Design, stories, and technology have the power to update society and the future, and lead it in a better direction. How can creativity lead the next future? We will touch on the future as seen by Japan's leading social innovators.
