Shibuya Mottainai Market will hold a food waste reduction event in line with October's "Food Loss Reduction Month."
This event calls on local residents to promote the 3Rs, with a focus on reducing food waste.
This year, there will be a large collection of workshops where you can learn about the global environment and the 3Rs in a fun way!
A workshop for parents and children on the theme of "Mottainai" and the 3Rs will be held in the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada Study Room on the second floor.

[WS2] Learn about food waste! No leftovers game
The No Leftovers Game teaches you the causes of food waste and how to solve them
It's a fun and educational card game.
Become a shopkeeper and calculate how much food your customers can eat and how much money they have, and don't leave any food uneaten.
It's a card game that generates sales.
In a class at a free school run by the nonprofit organization Deep People, participants learn how to solve social problems.
It was invented and developed by a sixth grade elementary school student at the time, and won the Kids Design Council Chairman's Award in 2018.

This is a cooking class that parents and children can attend to help them eat all the food they need without waste.

Participants: Children of elementary school age and above and their guardians

Let's make a "food herbarium" using ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away!
Fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be wasted as food waste, or picked and thrown away,
We use it by making pressed fruits and dried vegetables.
We hope you will decorate your room or desk with the herbarium you made and think about the SDGs!
