8/9 (Sat) [Summer Vacation Special Event] "Pottery Painting Experience: Try Drawing Traditional Patterns"
After a lecture from a museum curator on how to paint the traditional "Takokarakusa" pattern, you will have the opportunity to try painting a mini cup using overglaze markers. The completed work will be fired at the museum and later mailed to you cash on delivery.

Date and time: Saturday, August 9th, registration opens at 13:30, class starts at 14:00 (approximately 45-60 minutes)
Venue: Toguri Museum of Art (1-11-3 Shoto, Shibuya-ku) 1st floor lounge
Age range: 3rd grade of elementary school to 1st grade of junior high school (approximate)
Advance reservations required (please apply via this website; reservations open from 10:00 on Saturday, July 19th)
*You will need to create a Peatix account (unless you already have an account).
・Limited to the first 10 people (maximum 4 people per application)
Participation fee: 1,500 yen (shipping fee not included)

*This website only accepts reservations. Please pay the participation fee at the reception on the day.
*A separate admission fee is required on the day, but admission is free for junior high school students and younger, and accompanying persons will receive a 200 yen discount off the general admission fee (1,200 yen). Please enter the museum together with the participants.

[Notes on participation]
・Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty on the day.
・Please take off your shoes at the painting experience venue.
・Hydration is only permitted at designated locations. If you bring drinks with you, please use containers with a lid such as plastic bottles. Food is not permitted to be consumed.
・Please fill out the shipping label for your work on the day of the event. Please have the shipping address and contact number ready.
・Embassy staff will provide support regarding the event, but you and your companions are responsible for managing your belongings and your health.
