Starting in April 2025, the Fureai Botanical Center will be holding a bimonthly film/theater night called "Fureue Cinema Night"! We will be screening films related to food, agriculture, nature, the earth, etc., which are in line with our center's goal of becoming a regional hub for agriculture and food.
The first production is the documentary film "Big Little Farm: How to Create an Ideal Lifestyle," which follows the journey of a couple over eight years as they build their ideal farm while listening to the sounds of nature!
[Outline of the work]
John and Molly, a married couple living in the big city of Los Angeles, are forced out of their apartment because of the barking of their dog. Molly, a chef, dreams of growing food that is truly good for them, so the couple moves to the suburbs with their dog. However, they find themselves faced with 200 acres (about 17 Tokyo Domes) of desolate farmland.
Although they are sometimes at the mercy of the harshness of Mother Nature, they listen to her messages, learn about the cycle of life, and create an incredibly beautiful farm filled with beloved animals and plants and hope for the future. This is a moving story about the eight-year struggle of a nature-loving couple in pursuit of their dream.

Based on the concept of a "botanical garden where you can grow and eat," it aims to be a regional hub for agriculture and food that allows urban residents to experience the knowledge, skills, joy and excitement of agriculture and food, and to open up new possibilities for urban life.
