The annual Golden Week outdoor cinema event "SHIBUYA STREAM THEATER WEEK 2025" will be held from April 28 to May 11 at the Inaribashi Square Grand Staircase in front of SHIBUYA STREAM.

The project, which started in the fall of 2022, will be held during Golden Week from 2023. Since then, it has become established as an "outdoor event" that heralds the arrival of early summer. The biggest attraction is the "special venue" set up on the large staircase in Inaribashi Square in front of SHIBUYA STREAM.

In the open space with artificial turf, you can sit or lie down and watch movies in your own style while feeling the pleasant breeze, as if you were in your living room at home. Also, watching movies with small children can often be difficult as they can be unable to sit quietly for more than 90 minutes in a darkened theater, but this cinema event allows parents and children to enjoy movies together in a casual, picnic-like atmosphere.

This year, 27 popular movies will be screened for free every day for a total of 14 days around Golden Week. The lineup includes many masterpieces that parents and children can enjoy together, such as the musical masterpieces "La La Land" and "Mamma Mia!," the animated film "Despicable Me 3," which features the popular character Minion, the fantasy film "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and the biographical film "Bob Marley: One Love," which depicts the life of Bob Marley.

From May 2nd to 6th, a Hakutake Shiro food truck will be at the venue, serving highballs (500 yen per glass) made with authentic rice shochu.

If you get tired from walking around Shibuya during the holidays, why not take a break at the outdoor cinema in front of SHIBUYA STREAM, which has a relaxed atmosphere? It's also fun to sit on the large staircase and relax with a coffee or alcoholic drink in hand.
