Tokyo Night Market 2025, an outdoor event where visitors can enjoy the charm of "Tokyo at night" with all five senses, will be held for five days from Wednesday, May 21st to Sunday, May 25th at the Zelkova Avenue in Yoyogi Park.

Inspired by night markets in Asia, the event, which started in 2023, has been fused with Shibuya's night culture and has been attracting more visitors with each passing year. Last year's event attracted a total of about 200,000 visitors from Japan and overseas. It is gradually becoming established as one of Tokyo's leading outdoor night events.

The venue from previous events

This year's night market will feature over 50 food trucks, international food stalls, apparel and miscellaneous goods stores, and more, all lined up along the zelkova-lined street. The lineup ranges from popular festival regulars to famous stores that are rare at outdoor events, so you can enjoy a culinary journey around the world just by visiting.

Live stage performances from past events

Also of note are the live stages and DJ booths that will change each day for four days from the 22nd (Thurs) to the 25th (Fri). The artists are extremely diverse, including idols, bands, a cappella, folk songs, and percussion groups, so music fans will not get bored. Main performers include Kago Ai, Charan-Po-Rantan, lyrical school, and a total of 21 other diverse artists. The DJ booths will be produced by Shibuya-based music bars such as Atama Bar, Dogenzaka Church, and Higashimaya, creating a sophisticated sound space that is unique to Shibuya. After-parties will be held at participating stores from 10pm onwards, creating a sense of unity as if the entire town were at the event venue.

Besides the stage, there are plenty of other things that both children and adults can enjoy, such as shooting galleries, street performances, karaoke booths, etc. The space has been designed with families, couples, and visitors with pets in mind, so even if you just drop in, you can enjoy a moment out of the ordinary.

Starting this year, Tokyo Night Market is scheduled to be held three times a year in May, July, and October, and one of the attractions is that you can enjoy different themes, performers, and vendors for each season. The next event in July will be held simultaneously with Earth Garden "Yoruichi," and a new project titled "Star and Sun Market" is also planned.
