The 20th Shibuya Music Festival 2025 ~Shibuya Music Scramble~, an annual autumn event where the streets of Shibuya are enveloped in music, will be held for two days on October 18th (Sat) and 19th (Sun) at commercial facilities and various plazas around Shibuya Station.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which is a city festival where diverse genres of music and people intersect throughout the city, based on the city concept of "YOU MAKE SHIBUYA," which proclaims "Shibuya Ward, the city that turns differences into strengths."

A variety of content will be held in commercial facilities and public spaces around Shibuya Station, including street live performances, performances, and AR experiences. The opening ceremony will be held on the 19th at 12:50 pm on the stage in front of Shibuya 109.

Enthusiasm and fantasy at Miyashita Park: A special stage for two days only

One of the venues, Shibuya Ward Miyashita Park, will feature live performances with different themes over the two days of the event, on the 18th and 19th. On the 18th (Sat), dance artists from LDH, RAG POUND, will perform. Comprised of eight members who carry on the legacy of a legendary crew that has led the Japanese KRUMP scene, they are a talented group, all of whom are world champion title holders. Active in the professional dance league D.LEAGUE, their stage will heat up the Shibuya night with their intense raps and overwhelming performances.

On Sunday the 19th, a collaborative stage event with the popular TV anime "Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night" will be held, "Shibuya Music Festival x Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night in Shibuya Ward Miyashita Park." The anonymous artist unit "JELEE," which appears in the anime, will appear on stage in real life, with vocalist Rie Takahashi, composer Miyuri Shimabukuro, illustrator Miku Ito, and video producer Miyu Tomita recreating the world of the anime through music. Additionally, AR content "Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night New Episode" by STYLY will be released, allowing viewers to enjoy an immersive experience where they can relive the production of JELEE's new song "Tte Yuuka" while walking the streets of Shibuya.

Young talent flourishes on music stages spread across the city

On Sunday the 19th, young artists and students will perform on stage throughout Shibuya. In front of SHIBUYA109, "Shibuya Street Live by FROM STREET PROJECT" will be held, featuring three artists who won the "Shibuya Song 2025" award (Grand Prix: Kafune, Runners-up: RIKU, Kaion), as well as four young artists active in the indie scene (Rutomo, Natalia D, Mahiru, tiger bae). Under the slogan "From Street to the World," artists who are spreading their wings from Shibuya to the world will perform with passion.

In front of the scramble crossing, "SHIBUYA PLAYGROUND" will be held, fusing music, dance, and fashion to create a new generation culture hub, with events such as a U-15 breaking battle, a special Red Bull BC ONE cypher, and a fashion show featuring models from "Popteen" and "egg." There will also be showcases by top artists leading the street scenes, including the double dutch team "Millennium Collection," the dance team "Valuence INFINITIES Youth," and the breaking team "Ⅻ AFTER OURS" led by Shigekix.

Additionally, the "Dogenzaka Block Party" will be held in Dogenzaka, and the "SHIBUYA SOUND STREET" organized by vocational school students will be held, where young people will create Shibuya's music culture with their own hands. Furthermore, a mini live event "SHIBUYA MODI MUSIC FES." will be held in front of Shibuya Modi, and the free "Station Concert in Shibuya" will be held inside Tokyu/Metro Shibuya Station.

For two days, people will meet, resonate and mingle through music. The entire city will be transformed into a live stage, with music playing on the stage.
