About "ART X JAPAN CONTEXT"

The goal of this project is to create teams, companies, and organizations centered around artists who can be recognized in overseas markets through artworks that combine the cultural resources (products, technology, knowledge, locations, etc.) of companies and local industries. We believe that for Japanese artists to achieve artistic expression that is recognized in overseas markets, an understanding of the "Japaneseness that leads to international recognition" and its "multiple cultures and contexts" is necessary, across a variety of formats, including media art and installations. In addition to providing education and mentoring on artistic expression, this project aims to support the creation of art that generates demand in overseas markets and create artists and startups that can compete on a global scale by providing content that teaches the "Japaneseness that leads to international recognition" and its "multiple cultures and contexts" from top players in a variety of fields, including creative, design, and business.
