A special screening of works by Satoshi Kon, a genius director of Japanese animation, "Kon Satoshi Theater: KON'S THEATER" will begin at Shibuya Cine Quinto on January 2, 2026. In addition to screening four of the director's films, a special exhibition and original merchandise sales will also be held at the same time.

The four films being screened are director Satoshi Kon's debut film "Perfect Blue," the film that transcends time and memory "Millennium Actress," the ensemble drama set on the streets of Tokyo "Tokyo Godfathers," and "Paprika," which is celebrating its 20th anniversary since its release. This will allow visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the director's creative background and the world of his work in addition to watching the film. Admission is free.

The attached merchandise shop will sell T-shirts, long-sleeved T-shirts, tote bags, posters, and more featuring the event's key visuals. There will also be a design that combines memorable scenes from all four works, making for a must-see lineup for fans.

Additionally, the winter sale at Parco Grand Bazaar will feature a collaboration with "Paprika." In addition to visual displays based on the world of the story, where dreams and reality blend together, there will also be raffles and novelty giveaways, making this a New Year's event where the whole of Shibuya can enjoy the world of Satoshi Kon's work.

Director Satoshi Kon greatly expanded the possibilities of animation expression during his short life. This is an opportunity to experience his career and his appeal all in one place. The exhibition will run until January 25th.
