Redesigning Civilization Starting from "Garbage" and "Feces": Creating a Circular Society Through Regenerative Agriculture, Environmental Chemistry, and Local DAOs
KIBOTCHA Smart Eco Village DAO
2026-04-02

"In nature, there is no such thing as garbage or feces. Everything is recycled as a resource." So why is our society overflowing with garbage and why do we face environmental problems?
This is not because humanity has progressed too far, but because civilization is still "immature."
It is said that current human civilization wastes 90% of its energy and resources.
However, on the other hand, this means we have "90% room for improvement (room to hack)."
The theme of the second event organized by the QWS26 project "KIBOTCHA Smart Eco Village DAO" is to rethink the "garbage" and "excrement" that we despise, and to redesign the operating system of civilization.
This time, we invited three top leaders from various fields to Shibuya QWS to install cutting-edge "elegant natural cycles" into the "self-sustaining city (smart ecovillage)" that we are implementing in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, which is not dependent on market size.
① Ideology: The philosophy of a "world without garbage or excrement" as unraveled by cultural anthropology.
② Science: The reality of resource circulation and data science as depicted by "gastronomic geopolitics."
③ Implementation Technology: The forefront of regenerative agriculture implementation where plant science and technology intersect.
④ Local communities: Social implementation into local ecosystems through DAOs (decentralized organizations).
How can we implement knowledge on such a massive scale into the economic sphere of the "future city (KIBOTCHA)" and integrate it into people's lives?
At QWS, a crossroads of knowledge, let's witness together the full scope of "Next Capitalism," which hacks the Earth's waste and implements a circular economy!
[Recommended for people like this!]
• Individuals who are entrepreneurs or active in the fields of sustainability, circular economy, and regenerative medicine.
- Creators who want to solve environmental problems with "technology and innovation" rather than "endurance."
・Those interested in "new social implementations" using DAOs and token economies

What is KIBOTCHA Smart Eco Village?
This is a "next-generation self-sufficient community" that we are currently implementing, set in a former elementary school and a vast forest in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture. In times of emergency, the infrastructure of daily life that we normally take for granted, such as food, housing, and energy, can be cut off. To address this challenge, we are combining technology and the blessings of nature to create a village that functions as a "resilient disaster prevention base that protects the lives of 10,000 people" in times of emergency, and as a "rich exchange hub where learning and play intersect" in normal times. It is a "new form of city" operated by a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) that does not depend on the market economy, and where resources and people's compassion circulate through a unique token (KBT).
