[Report] Photo event at Shibuya Station East Exit: Leslie Kee photographs general participants

The "GOOD Uplifting Photo Event" by world-renowned photographer Leslie Kee was held over two days, November 21st and 22nd, at "UPLIGHT COFFEE" in the underground plaza at the east exit of Shibuya Station. The event was open to the general public, with approximately 210 groups taking part over the two days, and the venue was bustling from start to finish.

This event is planned in conjunction with the third installment of Tokyu's new visual commercial, "GOOD Uplifting SHIBUYA NAVI," which began airing on November 17th. In this commercial series, actress Riisa Naka serves as the navigator, introducing Tokyu's pedestrian flow improvement efforts and city events in a pixel art-style worldview. The first installment was released in July this year and has been viewed more than 11 million times on the official YouTube channel. It has also been widely used around town on posters, signage, and Tokyu bus wrapping, attracting attention.

For this photo event, Leslie Kee, who has worked on numerous projects for fashion magazines and advertisements, will be taking photos of the exciting moments of general visitors under professional lighting and direction. Regarding the appointment of a top photographer, Tokyu's Aya Niizato, who is in charge of planning, said, "Leslie, who was in charge of the visual photography for the first three installments, made a counterproposal saying, 'It would definitely be fun to invite the general public to a photo event in Shibuya!'"

The photo shoot was free and mainly open to users who applied in advance through the "SHIBUYA TOQ pass" app. The photo space set up in front of the cafe was visited by a variety of people, including office workers on their way home from work and groups of friends. Some people were seen feeling embarrassed, saying, "I'm embarrassed to be seen by everyone," but Leslie's cheerful words gradually eased their tension, and they began to smile and pose under the light.

After the photo shoot, the children looked into the monitor and cheered, saying things like, "I didn't know I was making that kind of expression," and "So cool!" If you follow Tokyu's official Instagram, you can instantly receive five photos suitable for posting to social media.

Participants gave positive feedback on the special experience, which made them feel like stars and models.

Also on the first day, Matt, a model and talent who is close friends with Leslie, also participated in the event and enjoyed the photo shoot.

As redevelopment progresses around Shibuya Station, plazas that generate foot traffic are being utilized, and Tokyu is strengthening measures to make everyday life in the city more enjoyable, with the keyword "GOOD Up Up." This photo event, linked to commercials and posters, is positioned as a place to "allow people to experience the city's efforts." Niizato expressed his hopes, saying, "Whether you're familiar with Shibuya or not, I hope that when you come to Shibuya, you'll have an exciting and exciting experience, and that it will make you want to come back."

The new visual posters will be displayed across the entire underground plaza at the east exit of Shibuya Station from November 17th to 30th, and the entire plaza will be enveloped in the new worldview. Many people who participated in the photo shoot were seen smiling, and it seems that it was literally an "excitement-boosting" experience.
