The "Tokyo Pride 2026 Pride Parade & Festival," an event promoting the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community and respect for diversity, will be held on June 6th and 7th at the Yoyogi Park Event Plaza and Outdoor Stage.
The event, which aims to promote understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and realize an inclusive society, started in 2012 as "Tokyo Rainbow Pride" and changed its name to "Tokyo Pride" in 2025. This year marks its 14th anniversary. The theme is "A Future Opened Up by Diversity and Equality," and it sends a message toward realizing a society where the human rights of all people are protected and everyone can live authentically.

Starting at noon on the 7th, the "Pride Parade" will take place in the Shibuya and Harajuku areas. Approximately 60 organizations, including companies, embassies, NGOs, and university personnel, will participate, marching from Yoyogi Park through the Shibuya and Harajuku areas. The parade aims to send a message to society about diverse sexualities and ways of life, and the rights and dignity of each individual.
As a related event, a night event called "Pride Night" will be held at a club in Shinjuku Ni-chome on June 7th. On June 13th and 14th, "Youth Pride," an event aimed at teenagers and young adults in their twenties, will also be held at WITH HARAJUKU.
