Interactive illuminations to open in Yoyogi Park: A 1.8-kilometer "Forest of Light" to begin in November.

A night event where you can walk through nature with all your senses, featuring light and sound.

The interactive illumination event "ACN presents Yoyogi Forest of Lights ~Forest of Light~" will begin on November 13th in the cycling course area of Yoyogi Park.

This event takes advantage of the natural surroundings of Yoyogi Park, allowing visitors to enjoy light and sound displays while walking along a 1.8-kilometer course. It is organized by the Yoyogi Forest of Lights Executive Committee and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. This marks the first time an illumination event has been held in Yoyogi Park.

The venue will feature areas designed to evoke the feeling of being in a forest at night, including "Floral Fantasia," "Laser Lane," "Chestnut Agro," and "Singing Tree." It will offer an experience that stimulates all five senses, not just sight, through dynamic light gradients illuminating the trees (sight), music and ambient sounds resonating through the forest (hearing), the scent of the trees carried on the winter air (smell), and interactive features where the lights change in response to visitors' movements (touch). There will also be areas where visitors can enjoy food and drinks.

The project is inspired by the illumination culture of various parts of Europe, where people enjoy the long winter nights in natural spaces such as parks. It aims to attract a wide range of visitors, including families, couples, regular park users, and foreign tourists visiting Japan, and to become a new winter night tourist attraction in Tokyo.

This event will also be positioned as part of the "ARTE TOKYO (Tokyo International Culture and Arts Festival)" program in the Yoyogi and Shibuya areas, which will be held from October to December. It aims to encourage nighttime use of the park and propose new ways to enjoy the night through culture and art.

Opening hours are 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM (last entry at 9:00 PM). The event runs until January 11, 2027.
