Rediscovering the multifaceted "true self" from an artistic perspective.

Rediscovering the multifaceted "true self" from an artistic perspective.
We carry many different faces in our lives: our work persona, our home persona, our solitary self... In this workshop, we will create a three-dimensional self-portrait called "Watashi Tower" using a milk carton as a canvas, and rediscover our multifaceted selves.

This isn't just a simple craft project; it's an "artwork" experience that allows you to rediscover yourself as an adult. We invite you to try it!

What is Watashi Tower?

This workshop will be based on the artwork "Watashi Tower" featured in the book "Sousaku no Tane: A Children's and Adults' <Craft x Art> Idea Book," edited by the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.

Watashi Tower is a three-dimensional "self-portrait" without eyes or a mouth, conceived with inspiration from the work of contemporary German artist Isa Genzken. You express "yourself" by collaging paints, markers, and materials with various textures onto the four sides of a milk carton. By not drawing a face, your inner self can shine through, and by expressing different versions of yourself on the four sides, you can become aware of your "multifaceted self."
