An exhibition commemorating the 90th birthday of artist Tadanori Yokoo, titled "Tadanori Yokoo's First Time Turning 90! 90 Posters Exhibition," will begin on June 27th at "Hobonichi Sunday" on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO.
Born in 1936 (Showa 11), Yokoo is one of Japan's leading artists, highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally, known for his art direction of the "Textile Pavilion" at the 1970 Osaka World Expo, the "Koshimaki Osen" poster, and the "Y-junction" series. This project was conceived by Shigesato Itoi, with whom he has had a long-standing relationship, to commemorate his 90th birthday on June 27th.

The exhibition will showcase 90 carefully selected works, including representative and rare pieces, from among the more than 1,000 posters Yokoo has created to date. A wide range of works from the 1960s to the 2010s will be presented, including "Koshimaki Osen" and "TADANORI YOKOO." Visitors can trace the evolution of Yokoo's work across diverse fields such as advertising, theater, publishing, and corporate campaigns.
A new poster created specifically for the "Hobonichi Manga Club," which was established this year, will also be unveiled for the first time. In addition to the sale of this new poster, approximately 20 classic posters from the past will also be available for purchase in limited quantities at the venue.
