Ahead of its closure on September 30th, Seibu Shibuya Department Store is launching a special thank-you event, "THE LAST Thank You, Shibuya," to commemorate its 58-year history. To mark the 100-day mark until its closure, the store will look back on its history alongside the city of Shibuya through a photo exhibition, countdown displays, and the sale of limited-edition goods.

Since its opening in 1968, Seibu Shibuya Store has supported the development of Shibuya as a hub for fashion and culture. In this project, a countdown displaying the number of days until closing will be held in the show window of Building A along Meiji Street. Photographs of past events and exhibitions will be displayed in a film-like style, showcasing memories of the 58 years shared with customers.

From July 8th, the photo exhibition "#Shibuya no Omoide" (Memories of Shibuya) will be held in the promotion space on the first floor of Building B. The exhibition will showcase photos of the store from when it first opened, the history of its renovations, and promotions that garnered attention. A message space will also be set up where visitors can post their memories of Seibu Shibuya.

In addition, the official X account will be running the "#ShibuyaMemories" campaign. The messages and photos submitted will be displayed in the show window on the first floor of Building A from September, creating the final show window display together with customers as the store closes.

Additionally, a limited-edition design of "Hachifuru," the official character of the Shibuya Ward Tourism Association, will be sold exclusively at Seibu Shibuya. This special edition features Hachifuru wearing a blue jacket and headphones, and is limited to 100 units. The design is inspired by Shibuya, a city known for its fashion and culture.

Seibu Shibuya Store, a beloved landmark in Shibuya for many years, will likely feature a series of events over the next three months leading up to its closure, reflecting on its history and sharing the memories of its customers.
