The "Shibuya French Festival 2026 (ShibuFre 2026)," an event showcasing French food culture, will be held from October 1st to 14th at various locations in the Shibuya area. The event is organized by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.

This event, which showcases French food culture through French ingredients, wines, champagnes, and cheeses, started in 2021 and is now in its sixth year. The main venues are SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE and Inaribashi Square in front of SHIBUYA STREAM, with multiple events taking place at restaurants and commercial facilities.

The main event, "Le Marché," will be held on October 3rd and 4th. "Le Marché ~ Table des Chefs" will take place at "Scene12" on the 12th floor SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE. Three chefs will be at the live kitchen each day, offering dishes and desserts using French beef and other ingredients, as well as wine, champagne, cheese, charcuterie, and more.

On the 3rd, Chef Norihiko Fukuda of Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel, Chef Florian Briante of Maison de la Bourgogne, and Chef Hideyuki Shibata of maerge will participate. On the 4th, Chef Yoichi Nakaaki of à table, Chef Takuto Murota of Lature, and Chef Atsuko Koizumi of Cheval will participate. There will be 11 sessions in total over the two days, each lasting 80 minutes. Tickets are required to participate, and advance tickets are on sale.

On the same day, "Le Marché ~ Grand Terre" will be held at Inaribashi Square in front of SHIBUYA STREAM. The outdoor venue, designed to resemble a French market, will feature booths and food trucks selling wine, champagne, French cuisine, prepared foods, and other food items. Entertainment events are also planned for the stage. No advance reservations are required.

During the event, "Bordeaux Restaurant Week 2026" will also be held at commercial facilities and hotels in Shibuya. Participating restaurants SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE, SHIBUYA STREAM, Shibuya Hikarie, SHIBUYA MARKCITY, Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, Shibuya Sakura Stage, Cocoti SHIBUYA, and Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel will offer special promotions, such as the opportunity to enjoy Bordeaux wine by the glass.

Tokyu Department Store and Tokyu Store will also be holding a "French Fair by Tokyu Group," selling French food and beverages. The fair will run from October 1st to 7th at all Tokyu Department Store locations, and from October 2nd to 4th at four Presse stores and the Tokyu Store Shibuya Sakura Stage branch.
