[SHIBUYA QWS original program "QWS ACADEMIA"]
This is a program in collaboration with universities that allows students to encounter "unknown questions." At universities, there are students and researchers who are facing a wide variety of "questions." "QWS ACADEMIA" is not just a class where knowledge is transmitted, but aims to stimulate each other in both directions and create a chemical reaction.

[Objective of the event]
The "Hybrid Innovation" industry-academia collaboration program, conducted in collaboration with the Tokyo Institute of Technology and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, will hold a discussion on the theme of "How can we promote business innovation beyond the boundaries of industries?" and a networking event for people working on "Hybrid Innovation" at Shibuya QWS on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. The program, which began in 2020, aims to overcome "knowledge divisions" through multi-communication and foster flexible thinking, and will introduce the "Hybrid Innovation" process for creating innovation and establishing a culture and methodology for changing ideas.

In this age of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), we cannot take on the future with new perspectives if we remain content in existing fields and rely only on stereotyped thinking. Innovation must not be technological innovation, but social innovation. To achieve this, we need a revolution in thinking. The challenge is to overcome "knowledge fragmentation" and think flexibly, and to find a "path" that will make this possible.

What is multi-communication that uses science and art, science communication, and artistic thinking?
At this event, we will discuss the elements of innovation that will be necessary in the coming era, transcending the boundaries of specialization.
