The "Vietnam Festival 2026," an outdoor event bringing together traditional Vietnamese performing arts, the latest music, and food culture, will be held at Yoyogi Park Event Plaza on May 30th and 31st.

Started in 2008, this event is one of the largest international exchange events officially recognized by the Vietnamese government. Attracting over 100,000 visitors annually, it has become a well-established platform for Japan-Vietnam exchange across various fields, including economy, tourism, culture, and personal exchange. 180,000 visitors are projected for 2026.

This year's theme is "Immersive Festival," and the visitor experience will be significantly revamped. The most notable feature is the introduction of a mobile ordering system. Visitors can order and pay for food and drinks using their smartphones via QR codes within the venue, creating a "no-queue festival" where they can receive their items without having to wait in long lines, even during peak times. This aims to improve the flow of visitors and reduce waiting times.

Approximately 120 booths will be set up at the venue, offering a wide variety of Vietnamese cuisine and cultural experiences. The food and drink booths will feature a diverse range of dishes, from classics to regional specialties, including pho (rice noodle soup), banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), banh xeo (rice flour dough wrapped around fillings and baked), bun bo Hue (spicy noodles from central Vietnam), and che (sweet dessert). In addition, regional dishes such as bun cha and cao lau will be available, along with authentic Vietnamese beer, allowing visitors to enjoy a truly authentic culinary experience. Each stall will offer unique and creative flavors, making the opportunity to sample different foods a major highlight of the event.

毎年人気を博しているベトナム北部発祥で約1,000年の歴史を持つ伝統芸能「水上人形劇」も上演するほか、ベトナムを代表するトップアーティストのエリック(Erik)、ゴー ラン フオン（Ngô Lan Hương）らによる音楽ライブ「LOVE VIETNAM SHOW」も予定（出演者の詳細は後日発表）。フォトスポットの設置など、ベトナムの雰囲気を体感できる演出も充実させる。

A new air-conditioned, paid rest lounge has been added to provide a comfortable environment even in the crowded venue. It can be used from 3,000 yen per table (maximum 4 people). This, along with the expansion of the food and beverage area, aims to improve overall comfort.
