We will be holding a special event to commemorate the release of "DE-SILO RESEARCH REPORT" in July 2024.

This event will be centered around a workshop on the theme of "30 Issues that Will Open the Future of Humanities and Social Sciences" in the report. The number of seats is limited, so if you are interested, please check the details below and purchase your ticket.

※To all crowdfunding supporters※
This is the page for paid tickets for general participants. Crowdfunding supporters will receive a separate message from CAMPFIRE with a special form to participate in this event for free. If you would like to participate, please log in to CAMPFIRE and check the "Message" menu.

Event Summary
We plan to hold workshops in which participants can brainstorm what actions and collaborations are possible from their individual perspectives, utilizing the "30 Issues that Will Shape the Future of Humanities and Social Sciences" included in the report (created based on literature research and interviews with experts and players).

The two guests who will be providing topics for the workshop are the two people who cooperated with the interviews for the production of this research report. They will talk about the theme of the report, "Various challenges and opportunities in the humanities and social sciences," while also touching on their own activities (details of the guests will be provided later).

About "DE-SILO RESEARCH REPORT"
This report reexamines the origins and significance of humanities and social science (hereafter referred to as "humanities and social sciences") scholarship, clarifies the challenges facing humanities and social science researchers today and their structural background, and then presents 30 points of discussion for a future in which humanities and social science scholarship can realize its potential.

To produce this report, a crowdfunding campaign to raise production costs will be conducted from December 2023 to January 2024 (We are looking for supporters to help solve issues surrounding "liberal arts studies"!). The target amount was 1.8 million yen, and 105 people donated more than 2.1 million yen. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us.

Using the funds provided, we formed a research team and, in addition to conducting literature research, we were able to put this report into shape by interviewing experts in the field and practitioners both inside and outside of academia who are attempting to implement research knowledge in society.

This report will be made available free of charge as open source. We hope that it will serve as a guide for future actions in some way to all stakeholders in the humanities and social sciences, including universities, government agencies, funding agencies, the research community, private companies and organizations, the media, undergraduate and graduate students, and researchers, all of whom are active both inside and outside of academia, and all of those who wish for the sustainable development of the humanities and social sciences.
