Talk event celebrating illustrator Ardneks' visit to Japan
It has been about two months since 404 Not Foud, a play space for creators, opened on the fourth floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage, a new landmark connected directly to Shibuya's New South Exit, and many people have been visiting the space every day.
404 Not Found is currently looking for creators to play with us - CLAN.
This vacant lot is also intended to be a place of play where creators from Japan and abroad can gather, and an emergency event will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 4pm, having been informed that Indonesia-based illustrator Ardneks will be visiting Japan.
In fact, Ardneks made a sensational appearance when he won the grand prize at UNKNOWN ASIA, an event organized by one of our board members, in 2016. Since then, he has been active not only in Japan but all over the world with his captivating style of work.
His artwork is heavily inspired by the graphics of Japanese artists Tadanori Yokoo and Keiichi Tanaami, as well as Japanese city pop. While strongly influenced, his unique coloring and graphics blend well with the Indonesian climate, which is his roots.
I would like to have a casual discussion with you about his activities.
A vacant lot where various creators can gather and play freely with their own sensibilities.
The challenge/fun of growing in the heart of Shibuya begins here.
