Chieko Watanabe
Shibuya Web3 University Create Course Members
Representative Director of Circular Cotton Factory
Founder of Avanti Co., Ltd. Established Avanti Co., Ltd. in 1985. Since 1990, he has been working to raise awareness of organic cotton in Japan and is a pioneer in the manufacture of organic cotton products in Japan. In addition to corporate activities, he established the NPO Japan Organic Cotton Association as an organization to raise awareness of organic cotton and certify it. He is also involved in creating global standards. In 2016, he became the representative director of the general incorporated foundation From Forests to the Sea. In 2017, he began working as a founder of the general incorporated foundation What to Leave in the 22nd Century. In 2021, he launched a project to turn textile waste into resources, and began activities as the Circular Cotton Project, which turns textile waste into paper and textiles into boards. In September 2023, he felt the potential of Web3 and joined the Shibuya Web3 University Create course at the age of 72. He believes that now is the time to use the Japanese spirit for world peace and is working on it.

Yoshida Hiroshi
CEO of HashPort Inc.
Founded HashPort Inc. in 2018. Provides web3 wallet solutions to many business companies, financial institutions, government agencies, etc., including providing the EXPO2025 digital wallet for the Osaka Kansai Expo. Founded HashPalette Inc. as a subsidiary in the NFT field in 2020. The company successfully completed Japan's first IEO (Initial Exchange Offering, fundraising with crypto assets in accordance with the Payment Services Act) and was acquired by Aptos Inc. in the United States in 2024. Prior to founding HashPort, he worked on projects in Japan and China as the youngest Venture Architect (investment/business development officer) at BCG Digital Ventures, the digital business development division of the Boston Consulting Group. He is a director of the Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association, a joint researcher at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering, and a joint research member of the "Cryptocurrency Research Project" at Keio University Global Research Institute.

Yosuke Shiraishi

After launching PayPay at Yahoo Japan Corporation, he joined DeCurret Inc. as CTO in 2019 and launched a digital currency business. In 2020, he founded ARIGATOBANK Inc. and became its CEO. He is CEO of MZ Cryptos Inc., outside director of Hashport Inc., GP of MZWeb3Fund, and co-founder of DecimaFund, where he has been involved in launching and investing in web3 businesses. As vice-chairman of JCBA, he makes recommendations as an industry group. He is also a fellow at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's International Finance Fellows Bureau and the secretariat of the Liberal Democratic Party's Digital Society Promotion Headquarters web3PT WG, and is working hard to promote Japan's Fintech and web3 industries.

From the time of internship until 2018, he mainly worked in the recruitment business.
In 2018, he joined Coincheck, Inc. as a human resources manager. As an engineer recruitment manager, he recruited about 25 engineers in one year and then changed jobs to a planning position. Since then, he has been in charge of PM for multiple new currency listings and Japan's first IEO.
He joined bitFlyer Inc. in January 2022, and in July of the same year, launched the current Crypto Strategy Department and became its deputy head. He is responsible for listing approximately 16 new currencies and bitFlyer's first IEO.
In February 2022, he was appointed vice-chair of the ICO/IEO subcommittee of the Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association (JCBA), where he is involved in activities aimed at reforming the domestic IEO system, including compiling various proposal documents.
In December 2023, he was appointed secretary of the NFT Subcommittee and was involved in creating guidelines regarding RWA.
In June 2024, he became independent and serves as an advisor to several companies.
