First Open Lecture: Art Project Production & Management Lecture

Human Resource Development and Support

Source: Peatix

To develop and support talent who can conceive and develop projects that empower society through art.

Supervised by Nanjo Fumio, special advisor to Mori Art Museum and special director of Arts Maebashi, this is a re-edited version of the popular "Art & Project Management Course," which has produced talented people connected to the art scene three times in the past.

We will also be offering courses that focus on "developing and supporting the creation of human resources who can conceive of projects that empower society through art."

In 2023, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will conduct its first study on promoting the arts industry and publish a report from the "Study Group on Arts and the Economy and Society." Expectations are growing for culture and the arts to be a major engine supporting the economy and society, and for art to be a factor contributing to innovation.

The first course on Friday, August 23rd will focus on producing art projects and lecture on the structure and key points based on proposal documents from the conceptual stage. It will be a free, open lecture in a hybrid online/offline format that is also open to non-regular students.

Please feel free to visit us.

[About the Art Project Production & Management Course]
This course features a lineup of highly experienced instructors who will provide practical lectures on the methodology of next-generation art projects, using a curriculum that teaches the art industry's knowledge areas and both production (concept) and management (construction) methods.

The course also emphasizes dialogue between students and between students and instructors, and is characterized by the fact that students can receive feedback and support for the projects they are actually working on. In addition, we plan to hold fieldwork at art project sites as part of club activities (voluntary activities outside of the course).
