We will be holding a math puzzle solving class for parents and children to enjoy from 10:00 to 11:30! *Please purchase tickets for the number of parents and children participating!

We are holding a new type of course called "Math x Puzzle Solving"!
The theme this time is "Become a treasure hunter and find the treasure of Math Island!"

We will give you puzzles sprinkled with math at a level of difficulty that suits your child's level of understanding.
This is a course where you can try solving puzzles while reviewing the math content you learn at school, such as "calculation," "shapes," and "units."
The story progresses by solving math problems and math-related puzzles.

The main instructor for the math puzzle course is "Zu-san", a member of math channel who usually works in Kyushu!
We are professionals who create original math puzzles that are not just simple puzzles, but also value the experience and learning of math!

Staff will be on hand to support you, so even children who are new to solving puzzles can give it a try with confidence.

*Tickets do not need to be purchased for infants, young children, and other children who will not be participating in the content of the course, but please indicate in the question section of your application that they will be attending.

About the lecturer on the day

Azusa Kawano (Zoosan)

Cultivating the ability to think things through - won't they teach you?! He runs the math puzzle cram school Pazoo. He creates problems that allow students to get a feel for math and problems that allow them to enjoy trial and error, regardless of grade level or textbook content, and runs his classes with the motto, "Difficult problems are lucky." He also spends his days playing with children through a cram school based on the concept of "developing the ability to live" and through local child-rearing support. He is involved in content production for the math channel, exploring everyday math experiences and math puzzles.

Asuki Yokoyama (Asuki Yokoyama/Asuki Sensei)

Representative of Math Channel Inc. Certified Senior Instructor for Early Childhood Mathematics by the Japan Mathematics Certification Association, a public interest incorporated foundation. Vice President of the Japan Comedy Mathematics Association. STEAM education advisor for Saikyo Gakuen Elementary and Junior High School. Acts as a "Math Big Brother" who conveys the joy of mathematics and arithmetic to a wide range of people, regardless of age or gender.
In 2017, he received the Science Agora Award, sponsored by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. His books include "Mathematics that Humanities Students Can Get Addicted To" (Seishun Publishing), "Fun for 10-Year-Olds and Up! Fermi Estimation" (Kumon Publishing), and "Manga: 144 Math Puzzles to Get Good at While Playing" (Kank Publishing). His television appearances include NHK Educational TV's "Master Mathematics in 3 Months." He graduated from Waseda University Graduate School with a major in Applied Mathematics.

Norika Numa (Numa-chan Sensei)

Graduated from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo. He works as a "math designer" who designs familiar objects using math. Utilizing his love of math and experience in space research, he conducts numerous courses nationwide and online to teach math and the universe to children and adults in a fun and easy-to-understand way. He is the editor-in-chief of the online media "math channel magazine." His books include "Understanding Turtle and Crane Math with Lines, Squares, and Tables" (Nitto Shoin Honsha) and "Math Quiz You'll Want to Share with Others Right Away" (Bunkyosha).

About math channel
This is an arithmetic and mathematics content planning and production group whose philosophy is to "bring arithmetic and mathematics closer to people through experience." The group is represented and supervised by Yokoyama Asuki, also known as "Math Brother," who has been spreading the joy of arithmetic and mathematics for about 10 years. By developing arithmetic content that takes a different approach and deals with content different from that offered at schools or cram schools, the group is providing people all over the country with unprecedented opportunities for "learning new arithmetic and mathematics."
