Towards inclusive healthcare
Workshop to explore the essence of gender

Information for medical professionals.

We will be holding a special study session at the Regional Medical Design Forum.

The theme of this workshop was "A workshop to explore the essence of gender for inclusive medical care." What is notable about this workshop is that it focuses on listening to the stories of three lecturers who are actually transgender people, rather than relying on scientific knowledge, general theories, concepts, or objectivity.

Our guest speaker will be a member of the transgender three-piece unit, mutantwave, who is a former Nadeshiko League female soccer player and is now an active gender-bending transgender person living as a man.

Through their experiences, we will explore how to understand gender as something that concerns us personally and deepen our thoughts about it. This will be an opportunity for those who are not sexual minorities, and those who do not have (or think they do not have) anyone in their lives who is a sexual minority, to take another look at "what is gender?" and gain important realizations. Furthermore, through dialogue, we will deepen our understanding of the difference between gender on family registry and gender in the medical field.

As healthcare professionals, these are important perspectives in order to provide appropriate care to each patient.

This forum aims to deepen understanding of these topics through discussion.

We are a trio of transgender people who are former female soccer players in the Nadeshiko League, currently living as "men" and working as "genderists." Our vision is to create a world where all people around the world can love themselves, and as LGBT people, we are disseminating content in a POP style that gives people an opportunity to think about gender and diversity through media, social media, events, and more!

"Mutant Wave" is imbued with the desire to convey important, unknown information.
"Mutant wave" is a surfing term meaning "a mutating wave" and is a term only known to a select few surfers. In the same way, there are many important things in the world that end up being known only to a select few. We will provide pop content that will allow you to learn about such important information while having fun!

To continue growing into a group in which each member is loved as an individual by all who support us.
